ETSI, with the support of the PowerEOC Alliance and the ETSI TC ATTM, is organizing the Video Surveillance Plugtests™ event, which will be hosted at ETSI in Sophia Antipolis, France, from 07 to 09 April 2025.
The format of the event will be lab tests conducted in the premises of ETSI.
What are the objectives and scope of the Video Surveillance Plugtests event?
The objective of this Plugtests on “IP Video Surveillance systems by enabling the transmission of IP data over coaxial cable infrastructures” is to confirm the full interoperability of these systems.
The testing provided will be based on the upcoming position paper ETSI GR OEU 042 and will address the following ETSI specifications:
- ETSI TS 105 176-2 on “Ethernet and power over coaxial cables for IP video surveillance”
- ETSI TR 105 177 on “Benefit Analysis of Ethernet and power over coaxial cables - IP Video Surveillance Case Studies
Test Equipment vendors will have the possibility to participate and provide tools and additional testing as well in the Plugtests event.

- Vendors which develop and produce above-mentioned equipment

- Observers, which can be government organizations, operators, public agencies.
All participants must sign the Rules of Engagement and Non Disclosure Agreement.
Registration
All participants must register individually for the event in order to receive their credentials and be subscribed to the mailing list dedicated to this event. Companies registered are expected to have at least one person present on site during the event. The registration deadline is 7 March 2025.
Each first person in a company to register to this event is de facto the official contact from this company for administrative matters. Each participant is invited to register individually.
The event is free of charge and attendees will be responsible for all other associated costs (travel, meals, etc.).
NDA
All participating companies, observers included, must sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) that the official contact will receive upon registration. Organizations will not be allowed to participate to the event if the NDA and Rules of Engagement (RoE) have not been signed.
The deadline to return the signed NDAs and RoEs to ETSI is 14 March 2025. Credentials to access the Wiki will be sent to the registered participants upon signature of the NDA and RoE by the authorized representative of their company.

ETSI and the French Non-Governmental Organization eG4U (e-Green for users) are organizing the Sustainable Digital Multiservice Communities (SDMC) Conference on 10th April 2025 in ETSI premises, Sophia Antipolis, France.
