Our Korean partner, the Telecommunications Technology Association celebrates its 30th anniversary
Sophia Antipolis, 22 October 2018
The Telecommunications Technology Association celebrated its 30th anniversary on 4 October. The event was a good opportunity for networking with ministerial and high level speakers.
The 2nd Global ICT Standards Conference was run in parallel. It was also the opportunity for ETSI to renew its Memorandum of Understanding with the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT). Established in Bangkok in July 1979, the APT is an intergovernmental organization that operates in conjunction with telecom service providers, manufacturers of communications equipment, and research and development organizations active in the field of communication, information and innovation technologies.
During his speech, ETSI’s CSO, Mr Jørgen Friis reminded our long term relationship with TTA, their useful support in ETSI’s technical work thanks to their experts and their active involvement in 3GPP and oneM2M, ETSI’s partnership projects.
300 people attended this celebration including officials from the government, the National Assembly, overseas standards organizations including ETSI, board members, heads of affiliated and related organizations, renowned local figures and executives.
“The ceremony and the conference ended in great success with full of meaningful moments thanks to your presence, and you are the one who graced the occasion far more worthwhile” concluded Mr. Jaemoon Park, President of TTA. “I sincerely hope that, from this wonderful opportunity, we will be able to build stronger trust, deeper friendship, and partnership so we could make a brighter and better future for the global society through closer cooperation and collaboration in this fast-moving ICT world.”
