ETSI flagship event Security Conference attracts nearly 200 attendees onsite
Sophia Antipolis, 7 October 2022
The sun was shining this week on one of ETSI’ s flagship events, the Security Conference, where the number of participants onsite reached nearly 200 attendees, from 27 countries.
An intensive 3-day programme gathered speakers from the European Commission, government representatives, other standards bodies and various industry sectors who discussed the global regulation and certification landscape, security verticals and technology horizontals and toolboxes. Experts put into perspective the challenges specific to cybersecurity where technologies need to evolve as fast as cyber threats, and standards anticipate and adapt to this everchanging environment.
This exclusive face to face event gave the unique opportunity to network with experts, peers and important global players from the cybersecurity sector.
During coffee and lunch breaks, demonstrations and posters highlighted commercial implementations of ETSI standards for sectors as diverse as securing AI, consumer IoT devices, encryption for access control in cloud ecosystems and intelligent transport systems. Research projects and Proofs of Concepts showcased pre-standardization work on zero touch management systems, 5G network slices, smart cities or medical devices.
For this event, we partnered with CyberSecurity magazine who had the opportunity to interview numerous speakers who gave a deep dive into this exciting, diverse and challenging ecosystem. The series of podcasts will be available and disseminated through the outlet and ETSI channels, so stay tuned!
