Advert for a Director of Communications
We are looking for a Director of Commmunications, based in ETSI Headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, French Riviera.
Mission
The Director will drive and manage communication activities in ETSI and will ensure that the strategic direction and priorities are acted upon in close cooperation with the Executive Team.
The Director of Communication assumes a management level position which includes the following key responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the implementation of the ETSI communications plan in support of the overall ETSI strategy
- Identify and launch communications initiatives
- Develop and manage media and press relations
- Oversee and coordinate content development and contribute as editor and writer
- Develop and manage ETSI external communications channels
The Director of Communications will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will manage a small team.
Profile
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 8 -10 years management experience in communications or marketing with a track record of leading successful communications or marketing activities, preferably in B2B and in the ICT sector
- Master degree in Communication, Marketing or related activities
- Experience in coordinating a team and in project management
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills in an international environment
- Results oriented, dynamic and self-driven
- Excellent English is a must
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Ability to travel internationally, if required
The post will be based in our headquarters located in Sophia-Antipolis, a lung of greenery between Cannes and Nice.
