LINUX SYSTEMS AND NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (M/F)

We are seeking a highly motivated Linux Systems and Network Administrator to join ETSI's IT Division (ITC), in which you will report to the head of the Infrastructure Systems and Networks department (ISN).

Mission

With knowledge of operating systems, networking and security, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the services implemented by our members as part of standardization work. These services are essentially based on Linux servers and Open Source tools. You will also take part in the development of these services.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Administration of Linux Servers (mainly Ubuntu)
  • Web Server Administration: Apache, NGINX, IIS
  • Administration of Gitlab, Jenkins, Gitstat tools
  • Administration of Docker containers and the Kubernetes tool
  • Database administration: MySQL, MongoDB
  • Administration of the Openstack virtual environment
  • Writing and maintaining procedures
  • Scripting, task automation

You may also be required, with the support of your colleagues, to administer the Windows environment and the VMware virtual infrastructure.

Profile

We are seeking for a person with initial training equivalent to 2- or 3-years degree in IT Systems and Networks.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Good written/oral communication in French and English
  • Rigorous, motivated, dynamic and autonomous
  • Good analytical skills and taste for solving technical problems
  • Know how to work in a team and listen
  • Know how to work with users
  • Able to work flexible hours, possibility of on-call 24/7 (~1 time per month)

The position is is to be filled immediately. It is based in Sophia-Antipolis (06) and potentially involves some travel per year in France and abroad.
